Hydraulics & Pneumatics Initiative

Posted on Apr 4 2014 - 11:03am
During recent meetings Troop 63 has been working on a project demonstrating hydraulic and pneumatic principles.  Mr. Sowatzke is part of a team that is putting together documentation that is hoped will turn into the Hydraulics and Pneumatics Merit Badge.   The BSA Hydraulics & Pneumatics Subcommittee of the International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) Education Committee feels that they have a “good chance for success” and plan on submitting an official application to create the badge later this fall.  Thanks to Mr. Sowatzke Troop 63 has been hosting the experimental programs to ascertain the interest level among Scouts.  To read more on this initiative check out the following link at the Fluid Power Society website:http://www.ifps.org/docs/news/detail.aspx?id=8a2736f9-a180-4305-8590-ab9f3f849a77
