Roscoe Rea Earns the Eagle Scout Rank

EAGLE SCOUT ALERT!  Troop 63 continues to "double our pleasure!"  with the second double Board of Review in the recent history of our Troop.  Congratulations are in order to Roscoe Rea who also sat for his Eagle Scout Board of Review and earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Monday, November 18, 2013.  Roscoe has become the 62nd Eagle Scout in Troop 63's history.  "Hats off"  and a big round of applause to Roscoe for reaching the pinacle of the Boy Scouting program!  Roscoe's Leadership Service project involved the making and installation of several birdhouses around the grounds at Trantina Farm in Homer Township.  Congratulations to Roscoe and his family on this day of double celebration!

Andrew Hensen Earns Eagle Scout Rank!

Who says that good things don't come in twos?  Congratulations are also in order to Andrew Hensen who also sat for his Eagle Scout Board of Review and earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Sunday, September 22, 2013.  Andrew has become the 60th Eagle Scout in Troop 63's history.  Congratulations to Andrew for reaching the pinacle of the Boy Scouting program!  Andrew's project involved the scraping, cleaning and repainting of an entire outside chapel for his family church.  In addition he arranged for the cleaning of the paving bricks for the complete area too.  Congratulations to Andrew and his family on this day of double celebration!

Congratulations to Jonathan Mattingly for Earning the Rank of Eagle Scout!

Sunday, September 22, 2013 Jonathan Mattingly sat for his Eagle Scout Board of Review and became the 59th Eagle Scout in Troop 63's history.  Congratulations to Jonathan for reaching the pinacle of the Boy Scouting program! Jonathan's Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project was an enhancement project for our Chartered Organization Homer Church.  It included the installation of a beautiful wooden fence and gate between the two Church buildings, the removal of several trees and the installation of flowers in a new flower bed.  Congratulations to Jonathan and his family!

 

Congratulations to Amir Khalaf for Earning the Rank of Eagle Scout!

Thursday, August 22, 2013 Amir Khalaf sat for his Eagle Scout Board of Review and became the 58th Eagle Scout in Troop 63's history.  Congratulations to Amir for reaching the pinacle of the Boy Scouting program! Amir's Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project was a safety improvement for people with disabilities at Shady Oaks Cerebral Palsy Summer Camp on South Parker Road.  It included the removal of a large dangerous dead tree, the complete resurfacing & new border installation for a short term parking lot, placement of a new parking sign and general repair of flowerbeds in the area of the lot.  All the best to Amir and his family!

I hope you all were able to read the last couple of issues of the Homer Horizon and were able to see the nice writeups they did for both Zach Sowatzke and Roscoe Rea's Eagle project!
